Ingenio La Union
Something that began as an adventure in the 1950´s would turn into one of the most important agro industries in Guatemala. This was the starting point of a family company´s effort which would lead to the founding of the mill Ingenio La Union in 1959, with a first harvest production of 5,300 MT of sugar.

Did You Know?
La Union belongs to the Action Center for Corporate Social Responsibility CENTRARSE since 2003. Our mill is capable of generating enough electricity to supply a town of 70,000 households that consume about 300 kW per month during the summer.
In 2007 we obtained the accreditation of certification under ISO 9001: 2000. In 2010 we were certified under ISO 9001: 2008. In 2012 we obtained the Kösher certification and in 2013 we were certified under the HACCP system.
We produce sugar used in Coca-Cola drink.
