Ingenio Santa Ana

History

Santa Ana mill was established in 1968.

The first production of 154,000 tons of grinded sugarcane took place in 1969, producing 11,000 tons of sugar in 136 days. During the period 1977-1978 the production and harvest of sugarcane begins.

In 1984, the amount of 46,000 MT of packed sugar was exceeded with 500,000 tons of ground sugarcane.

Did You Know?

The Corporation “Grupo Corporativo Santa Ana” supports communities with public schools: Escuela Oficial Rural Mixta “Dr. Mariano Gálvez”, Escuela Oficial Urbana Mixta “El Recreo” Escuela Oficial Rural Mixta “El Milagro”.

Teachers and instructors are financed to teach elementary school with equipment and technology training. Likewise, recreational activities are financed, donations to communities with materials, road maintenance and health campaigns for medical check-ups are rendered.
